Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) is a cereal crop that has the potential to be developed in Indonesia as food, feed and industrial crop. C4 plant advantage of efficiency hot dry environments. Drought stress one most limiting environmental factors for productivity worldwide, can caused by water deficits soil atmosphere. On decreasing leaf status, rate CO2 assimilation conductance stomata decreased rapidly. The concentration mechanism able saturate photosynthesis under relatively low intercellular concentration. In addition, photorespiration likely repaired before it exits bundle sheat cells. effects non-stomatal include reduced activity photosynthetic enzymes, inhibition nitrate assimilation, induction premature aging, changes anatomy. Photosynthesis plants, including sorghum, involves, others, PEPC Rubisco enzymes. also trigger oxidative stress, which an condition increased Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) due over reduction process.
